It's 5pm on a Monday in Boston's South End. We're greeted by a friendly host, who hands us a dossier about the building and amenities. This evening we're getting a brokers first look into Sepia, the newly announced condos at Ink Block.
Ink Block is a massive project in the South End. Based on Harrison Avenue, on the old site of the Boston Herald Traveler building, the development will bring a whole new face to this part of the neighborhood. Ink Block, a project by National Development, is aiming to bring a new style to Harrison Ave, Life South End Style.
Ink Block includes 4 brand new buildings on Harrison Avenue that will be home to: a Flagship Whole Foods Market, 475 new apartment residences, and unspecified new restaurants and retailers.
So how could such a development project get any better? Condo units!

The announcement of Sepia's 83 condominium units came as a wonderful surprise to brokers and buyer agents around the South End. It is an amazing addition to the already impressive, proposed project.
Inside the open house, notable brokers and agents check out a model unit. The fixtures and appliances boast very stylish design and architecture. Enjoying the complimentary cocktail service, we move around the model unit eyeing the sleek, dark bathroom finishes -with enough storage space to house a CVS aisle. Navigating through the buzz of the crowd, we come to the model kitchen. A culinary artists new favorite room. Bright, sleek white cabinets with beautiful appliances immediately draw the eyes.
It is apparent that Sepia's units are going to be desired by most, but acquire by few. Unfortunately, with only 83 units (and quite a few already purchased), it seems like Sepia the Condos at Ink Block will be rapidly bought out. Ranging from studios in high $400K's to 3 bedrooms in the low $2M's, people are grabbing as fast as they can.
Beyond the units themselves, Sepia will offer spectacular amenities and services to its residents. Like our entrance to the open house, residents will be greeted by a 24hr concierge at the front desk. An underground parking garage can bring residents to their floor, the club room w/lounge and kitchen, or the skyline roof deck with a grill.
Dry cleaning services, a Hubway bike station, covered access to Whole Foods Market, onsite Zipcar spots, a dog washing station, electric car chargers and WiFi in all common areas are just some of the amazing benefits residents can take advantage of.
Oh, and did we mention that it will feature a rooftop pool?
All of us are patiently -well not so much- awaiting the completion of this impressive project. Ink Block will not only bring a new face to the South End, but transform the energy and vibrancy of Harrison Avenue. Sepia itself, and the residents that will reside there will be essential players in the creation of a new South End, Life South End Style.
