Many would argue that October is the best time to be alive in New England. Stunning foliage, the cooling, crisp fall air and bright golden sunshine all come together this month to replace the stifling heat of the summer season. Celebrate October in our neighborhood in style with these South End events!


South End House Tour

Join the South End Historical Society for the annual South End House Tour, the oldest tour of its kind in Boston! Take an inside look at restored and renovated private homes in the largest Victorian rowhouse district in the United States. All proceeds from the House Tour are used to support the South End Historical Society's ongoing efforts to preserve the neighborhood's architectural integrity and to promote its rich social history.

Fall Harvest-Fun for Kids

Join the Haley House Fall Harvest-Fun for Kids between 3 and 6 p.m., and help support the Haley House, soup kitchen and food pantry. Bob for apples, build your own scarecrow, toss a beanbag, and more! All this while enjoying pizza, cider, popcorn, homemade soups, and beer and wine.

Boston Wine Tasting and Walking Tour

Starting at the South End's Gaslight Brasserie, take this walking tour and explore the gastronomical diversity of Boston's 'Restaurant Row' with a unique and eclectic sampling of Southwestern, Modern American and French cuisine.
